Anisotropic Conductivity of Rat Head Phantom and its Influence on Electroencephalogram Source Localization

In this paper we deal with a simplified anisotropic rat head phantom development and the investigation of influence white matter on electroencephalogram source localization. The proposed is based cubic cross cell composition combined agar mixture to set desired electrical conductivity ratio. For fabrication phantom, 3D printed technology exploited. Starting from real brain, brain model incorporating actual dimensions, shape parameters both grey containing simultaneously relevant deep-brain signal sources. Five testing dipoles were located in areas corresponding active regions. A single dipole localization error was calculated by comparing an inverse solution position obtained computer tomography image. Neglecting anisotropy had rather weak effect our model. reliability map computed interpreted terms spatial similarity between distributed solutions involving isotropic forward models. We found spatially specific increases close electrodes vicinity compartment. Hence, be most sensitive neglecting identified.
